Responsibilities as a Cook
Experience in cooking authentic Chinese food is required.
- Food Preparation/Production Responsibilities
- Review menus, production, and prep guides to determine the type and quantities of food to be prepared.
- Prepare all meal items according to planned menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner to ensure quality and minimize waste.
- Use nutritionally equivalent substitutes when necessary.
- Operate kitchen utensils and equipment such as blenders, mixers, fryers, slicers, steamers, food processors, convection ovens, stoves, conventional ovens, steam tables, and tilt skillets.
- Create Chinese food recipes.
- Assist with preparing special function meals.
- Complete work assignments efficiently.

Qualifications
- Experience in cooking authentic Chinese food is essential.
- Chinese speaking ability is preferred.
- High school diploma is preferred.
- Previous experience in food preparation is a plus.
- Knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care for residents.
