Westmont Living in Pinole, CA is seeking a compassionate Cook to join our senior living community dedicated to healthy, tasty meals for residents.

Responsibilities include preparing appealing meals, following dietary guidelines, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and coordinating with the Culinary Director to implement menu changes. This role requires a health screen, background check, and basic first aid training or willingness to obtain within 30 days.

• Must have or obtain basic first aid training within 30 days of hire.

• Prepare meals in a timely manner to ensure they are served on time.
• Identify menu errors and coordinate changes with Culinary Director/Culinary Coordinator.
• Keep kitchen clean, sanitary and orderly according to schedule.

What we need from you:

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community

• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test

• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.

• Attractively prepare meals that are appealing and tasty

• Prepare special limited diets per policy

• Prepare meals in a timely manner to ensure they are served on time

• Identify menu errors and makes appropriate corrections as needed, bring the necessary changes to the Culinary Director's/Culinary Coordinator's attention

• Ensure all menu changes are reviewed with the Culinary Director/Culinary Coordinator before changes are made; post menu change notice as required by regulations and policies and procedures

• Keep kitchen clean, sanitary and orderly following cleaning schedule, including shelves and cooking surfaces
