Job summary

Five Star Parks & Attractions in Pigeon Forge, TN, is seeking a Cook to prepare high-quality menu items safely and efficiently. You’ll work with the team to ensure quick service, accurate orders, and strict sanitation while maintaining excellent presentation.

Job Summary:

We are looking for upbeat individuals with a desire to provide high quality food products, safely and efficiently. This role is responsible for ensuring that all menu items are prepared accurately, working with the team to manage low ticket times and uncompromising food quality, practicing safe food handling, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, and working under pressure.

Cooks report to the Kitchen Manager

Qualifications:

Kitchen experience preferred but not required.Toperform this job successfully, an individualmust be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Holdsteam accountable for quality, consistency, and upkeep of sanitization standards as set forth by company and state regulations

• Maintains highest levels of quality & presentation
• Accurately portions all orders to ensure low food cost

Safety:

• Ensures areas are free from hazards that would potentially injure staff or guests
• Addresses and immediately corrects any practices that lower safety standards

Education and/or Experience:

• Kitchen experience preferred, but not required
• Ability and willingness to eventually learn all stations on the line
• Understands and can operate the POS system
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

• Ability to solve practical problems deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
