Ideal candidates will have proven cooking experience, knowledge of nutrition, and strong teamwork skills. Morning and evening shifts with every other weekend are included, contributing to a supportive community atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in healthcare or senior living.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and dietary needs.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and dietary needs.
• Maintain consistency in meal preparation and portion sizes.
• Ensure proper sanitation and safe food handling practices.

Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, nutrition, and special dietary needs.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, adjust portion sizes, and maintain consistency in meal preparation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
• Flexibility to accommodate changing dietary requirements and work schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
• A positive attitude, patience, and empathy towards elderly residents.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Culinary certifications or relevant training is a plus.
