Community and Group Services: Preschool Academy

ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: Catholic Social Services, Community Based Services Division

SUPERVISION: Direction from Preschool Director of Catholic Social Services, Casa del Carmen Preschool Academy

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Nutritional Development Services Coordinator is responsible for managing the Kitchen Area. Under the direction of the Preschool Director, the Food Service collaborates to ensure that the organization and maintenance of the children’s Nutritional Development Services applications and monthly paperwork are current. The Nutritional Development Services Coordinator must adhere to the policies of Casa del Carmen Preschool Academy and perform all duties responsibly, with minimal supervision, maintaining confidentiality at all times.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Stay updated on all trainings and policies from the Nutritional Development Services (NDS).
2. Order supplies from NDS.
3. Maintain all NDS paperwork.
4. Accept deliveries from NDS.
5. Keep the kitchen and lunchroom clean.
6. Cover the front desk when the Administrative Secretary is on lunch.
7. Manage the front desk after hours.
8. Answer the phone professionally.
9. Follow all center policies and state regulations.
10. Maintain a personal professional development plan for continuous quality improvement.
11. Perform other tasks as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

1. Understanding and alignment with the Agency’s Mission Statement.
2. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
3. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and basic computer skills.
4. Excellent organizational skills.
5. High energy and ability to work well with staff, children, and parents, fostering a team environment.
6. Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
7. Knowledge of crisis intervention, child abuse reporting, and de-escalation techniques.
8. Must pass a full background check and health screening.
9. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma with basic computer skills.
