Job summary

Island Hospitality is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team. You will present, prepare, and cook items to our high standards while following brand and IHM recipes. Flexible scheduling is required to meet guest needs and seasonal demands.

You will ensure the kitchen stays stocked, receive orders, and maintain health and safety compliance. The role offers benefits through Island Hospitality, with opportunities for growth via our in-house training program.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow brand and IHM standard operating procedures to prepare food and beverage items
• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
• Ability to work well in stressful situations
• Basic knowledge of how to operate all Food and Beverage equipment

Responsibilities

• Know local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel

• Using hot food preparation machines such as ovens, stoves, and microwaves to cook or heat food
