Job summary

Regency Olympia Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Olympia, WA, is seeking a caring cook to prepare and serve meals for residents, oversee foodservice operations, and ensure supplies are available. Training will be provided.

You will follow menus, keep the kitchen clean and safe, comply with state sanitation codes, manage inventory and orders, and honor residents' food preferences. A Food Handlers card and basic English proficiency are required or obtained through our program.

Qualifications

• Experience not required; will train.
• Must obtain a Food Handlers card and meet state health requirements.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food to residents within the scheduled timeframe.
• Follow menu cycle, noting changes or substitutions made on proper form.
• Clean and maintains a neat, safe working environment, including the kitchen and food service areas.
• Comply with state sanitation codes.
• Maintain inventory control, places food orders, verifies that items are received appropriately, and restock appropriately.
• Ensure that resident food preferences are known and followed.
