Job summary

Savant Senior Living in Norwalk, CA seeks a qualified Cook to prepare and serve appealing, nutritious meals for residents and guests. The role reports to the Director of Dining Services and requires a high school diploma and food-service experience in healthcare or an institution.

Candidates should be fluent in English, follow recipes and safety standards, and bring a positive, resident-centered attitude. First Aid certification may be requested.

Qualifications

• This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• At least two years’ experience with food preparation, food purchasing, kitchen safety sanitation, and menu preparation in a restaurant, health care facility, or institution.
• Speak, read, and understand the English language.
• Read and follow instructions, recipe books, menus, and food labels correctly.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to work well with all people, particularly the elderly.
• May be required to hold valid First Aid Certification.

What you will do:

Must haves:
