Job summary

Indian Spice Cuisine Ltd. in Squamish, BC is seeking a skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. This permanent role offers full-time and part-time shifts, including weekends, evenings, and mornings at $19.00/hour for 35–40 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will prepare Indian-style cuisines, supervise kitchen helpers, oversee operations, maintain inventory, and coordinate with staff and management. English proficiency and a positive, customer-service oriented attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of kitchen experience.
• English language proficiency.
• Experience with Indian cuisine is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Indian style cuisines.
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers.
• Oversee kitchen operations.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate with the activities of kitchen and other staff.
• Support staff in performing duties like cleaning kitchen, if required.
• Coordinate with manager and supervisor in hiring the kitchen staff.
