The community you’ll be caring for: 401 PALMETTO ST, New Smyrna Beach, 32168

The role you’ll contribute:

Under the direct supervision of the FANS management team, the cook is responsible for handling and preparing food in accordance with established recipes, sanitation regulations, and all HACCP Guidelines of the Department.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Follows culinary production records in the preparation of patient and retail food.
• Prepares small batches or cooks to order to ensure food quality and temperature.
• Checks prep/pull sheets for the following day and pulls/preps foods as needed.
• Prepares attractive and palatable food for patient therapeutic and regular diets according to food production sheets and room service tickets.
• Prepares food for the café and catering services.
• Sets up and garnishes patient and café steam tables; may also participate in setup and/or serving of catering.

Qualifications

The expertise and experience you’ll need to succeed:

• One year of foodservice experience in a high-volume culinary production environment.

Preferred qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary Certification.
