Now Hiring a part-time Cook!

Join our culinary team at ASC and play a crucial role in preparing and serving delicious and nutritious meals, while maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and food safety for our residents.

Key Responsibilities of a Cook include:

  1. Follow recipes and prepare food that meets residents’ nutritional needs.
  2. Cook or prepare palatable, attractive, nutritionally adequate meals in required quantities.
  3. Lead kitchen staff with food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and storing supplies and equipment.
  4. Maintain a clean food service work area during food preparation and service.
  5. Handle, store, and dispose of food supplies according to departmental procedures and comply with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination.
  2. Preferred: Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling (can be earned on the job).
  3. Preferred: Prior institutional and/or healthcare service experience.
