Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean, and sanitary manner. Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities. Follow prepared menus and portion control guides. Prepare special diets accurately and record food temperatures. Prepare pureed foods and work cooperatively with all departments. Maintain sanitizer solutions, assist with meal serving, and clean cooking areas and carts. Report resident care concerns to the Administrator or Director of Nurses. Participate in training of dietary staff and ensure food presentation appeals to residents. Supervise in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor and ensure all cleaning schedules are followed.
Frequent standing, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, talking, tasting, and smelling. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Good vision for close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
Typically low to moderate noise level. Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
