Job summary

Compass Intervention Center is seeking a dynamic Dietary Cook to provide nutritious and appealing meals to patients in a compassionate behavioral healthcare setting. This PRN role supports our dietary department with high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent; prior dietary experience is preferred. Candidates should be familiar with kitchen equipment and food storage procedures, complying with federal/state rules and JCAHO standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer prior dietary experience in a facility, health care setting.
• Knowledge of equipment usage including stoves, ovens, steamer, fryer, grill, electric mixer, dishwashing machines, microwave, food charts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an organized and sanitary environment
• Ensure proper storage of food and supplies and ensure compliance with all Federal and State Laws

The Dietary Cook is responsible for the provision of quality meals and nutritional services to patients in accordance with established policies and procedures of the Dietary Department. Key Responsibilities include:. The Dietary Cook will also be responsible for the following;
