Dietary Aide/Cook Opportunity

Coastal Harbor Health System is comprised of a 145-bed hospital for children and adolescents, providing both short- and long-term inpatient care, and a 50-bed inpatient hospital serving men and women, ages 18 and up. The Dietary Aide is responsible for preparing and cooking food dishes, delivering food to patients, and assisting the kitchen staff in maintaining a clean, sanitary workplace.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food according to menu, number of people to be served, and portion control; assure maintenance of modified diets as instructed
• Receive, inspect, and properly store all supplies entering the food service department; use accepted techniques in handling, preparation, and food service
• Demonstrate proper use and storage of equipment and maintain a clean environment, including utensils, floors, equipment, etc.
