Florida Institute of Technology is seeking a hands-on cook to prepare hot and cold items in a high-volume production kitchen. You will produce daily menus in suitable batch sizes and may set up cook-to-order display stations to meet fast-paced service with an emphasis on food safety and presentation.
The role requires experience in producing varied menus for large guest counts and maintaining quality and customer service standards in a dynamic environment.
Provides high volume, hands on preparation of hot and cold food items from raw ingredients in a full production kitchen. Produces daily menu in appropriate batch sizes to closely follow consumption. May set up and work “cook to order” display stations and must maintain standards that ensure food safety and presentation, quality, cleanliness and customer service levels are achieved in a fast paced, challenging environment. Requires experience and skill set to produce a varied menu for up to 1,500 guests per meal period.
