Colonial Health Care, part of First Atlantic Healthcare, in Lincoln, Maine, is seeking a cook to join a busy Dietary Services team."

As part of a Maine-owned organization, you will prepare appetizing and healthful meals based on residents" nutrition and health needs, with opportunities for tuition reimbursement and benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Two years related food service experience preferred.
• Leadership skills and experience preferred if supervising staff.
• Excellent communications skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to preparation of food
• Inspect special diet trays to assure they are correct
• Preparation, cooking, and service of a variety of foods
• General cleaning up of kitchen
• Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies
• Coordinate dietary service with other departments as necessary
• Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished
• Assure that food and supplies for the meal are readily available

Cook Job Summary

Working for a Maine owned company while taking care of Maine people our Cooks work with a busy Dietary Services team to prepare appetizing and healthful food based on the nutrition and health needs of our Residents.
