Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group in Las Cruces, New Mexico, is looking for a dedicated Cook who will be responsible for preparing, portioning, and cooking food items to the restaurant's high standards. The Cook will work as part of a team to provide an AUS-SOME dining experience while adhering to food safety and sanitation practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs; work in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods while performing essential job duties.
• Vision capabilities including distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral; ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items with speed and accuracy.
• Work as part of a team to achieve standards in preparation and delivery of food items.
• Maintain equipment and cleanliness of surroundings.
• Use proper safety equipment, tools, and recipe specs with further direction from Management.
• Practice food safety and sanitation, restock kitchen and cook line as needed throughout the shift.

As a Cook, you will be committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift. You will also be preparing food with proper safety equipment, tools, and recipe specs.
