Job summary

Westminster Lakeland in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Cook to work in Dining, reporting to the Director of Dining Services and the Executive Chef. This full-time role runs 30–40 hours per week with open availability Sunday–Saturday and a day shift.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or Equivalent, a Florida SafeServe certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days), and strong reading, writing and arithmetic skills in English to follow recipes and directions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Florida SafeServe certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions
• Ability to perform basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up work stations according to established guidelines.
• Prepare all food items in accordance with standardized recipes in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Distribute prepared food to all areas of service accurately and consistently in preparation and presentation; restock items as needed throughout the shift.
• Clean and maintain station by practicing good safety, sanitation and organization skills.
• Assist with the cleaning, sanitation and organization of the kitchen and equipment.

Description

We are currently searching for a Cook to work in Dining. In this role, the Cook prepares quality food using quality ingredients for residents, guests and employees. This position reports directly to the Director of Dining Services and the Executive Chef.

Schedule: Full-Time 30-40 hours per week, Open availability Sunday-Saturday.
