Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a Line Cook to join our dining team at Westminster St. Augustine.

The role runs from 11am to 8pm, with some weekends, and requires preparing quality meals for residents, guests and staff using high-quality ingredients. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Florida SafeStaff certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Setup work stations according to established guidelines.

Westminster St. Augustine is currently accepting applications for the position of Line Cook to work on a full-time basis from 11am to 8pm, some weekends. As part of the Culinary Team, this individual will be responsible for preparing quality food using quality ingredients for residents, guests and employees. As a part of the Westminster Family, this position is a vital part of the Dining Services Team.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

The Line Cook must comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Communities including:

• Setup work stations according to established guidelines.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Florida SafeStaff certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.

EXPERIENCE:

• Three (3) or more year’s culinary experience in a high volume full service dining environment.
• Full understanding of basic food preparation methods and cooking techniques in quantity food production.
• Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office and data type programs.
• Willingness to provide a leadership role.
