Job summary

Serenity Spring Senior Living at Arlington in Arlington, OH is seeking a Cook/Supervisor for the 2nd shift. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and supervise support staff.

Responsibilities include preparing food in accordance with sanitary regulations and policies, enforcing safety and infection control, assisting with daily cleaning, and keeping the kitchen organized and stocked, while reporting hazards when observed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• SERVESAFE/CERTIFIED.
• 1 year long-term care cooking experience.
• Knowledge of food sanitation and batch cooking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations and our policies.
• Ensure safety regulations and precautions are followed by all personnel.
• Follow Infection Control precautions in daily tasks.
• Assist and direct daily/scheduled cleaning per policy.
• Maintain a clean and safe department, with stocked equipment and supplies.
• Report hazardous conditions or equipment to the Food Service Director immediately.
• Maintain food storage areas in a clean, properly arranged manner.

The Serenity Spring Senior Living at Arlington in Arlington, OH is seeking a Cook Candidate must be able to work in fast paced environment and supervise support staff.

Responsibilities of Cook/Supervisor

• Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as our established policies and procedures
• Ensure that safety regulations and precautions are followed at all times by all personnel
• Follow established Infection Control Precautions policies and procedures when performing daily tasks
• Assist and direct daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Ensure that the department is maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained
• Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to the Food Service Director immediately
• Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times

Requirements of Cook/Supervisor

• High School Graduate/ High school or equivalent
• SERVESAFE Certified
• Cooking background in long-term care facility and /or Culinary Education
• Knowledge of food sanitation and batch cooking
• Long-Term Care Cooking Required: 1 year
