Job summary

Serenity Spring Senior Living at Arlington in Arlington OH is seeking a Cook/Supervisor. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and supervise support staff.

Responsibilities include preparing food, enforcing safety and infection control, and assisting with cleaning duties to maintain a clean, safe kitchen. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, SERVESAFE certification, and a background in long-term care cooking or culinary education.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/ High school or equivalent.
• SERVESAFE Certified.
• Cooking background in long-term care facility and /or Culinary Education.
• Knowledge of food sanitation and batch cooking.
• Long-Term Care Cooking Required: 1 year

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as our established policies and procedures.
• Ensure that safety regulations and precautions are followed at all times by all personnel.
• Follow established Infection Control Precautions policies and procedures when performing daily tasks.
• Assist and direct daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensure that the department is maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained.
• Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to the Food Service Director immediately.
• Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times
