Job summary

Chateau-Nursing-and-Reha in Illinois is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare and serve daily meals in a healthcare setting, ensuring resident dietary needs and preferences are met while maintaining a safe, sanitary kitchen and timely tray delivery.

You will collaborate with the dietary team, work weekends and holidays, and uphold sanitation standards as you support a compassionate Extended Care environment that values dignity and quality meals for residents.

Qualifications

• Ability to collaborate with the dietary team and maintain a positive working environment.
• Availability to work scheduled hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Recent experience as a Cook in a healthcare environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve daily meals in accordance with resident dietary needs and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
• Assist in setting up the tray line and ensure timely delivery of meal trays to patient areas.
• Work in the dish room and maintain high sanitation standards.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and team members to ensure meal satisfaction.
