Job summary

Cabo Bob’s in Houston seeks a Line Cook to prepare fresh foods and support a clean, safe, and fun kitchen. You will set up and break down stations, ensure food quality, and work with a team to deliver great guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handler certificates.
• Ability to carry at least 50 lbs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in fast-paced environments.
• Able to multitask and organize.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Ability to reach, bend, squat and lift during shift.
• Able to withstand exposure to smoke, steam, grease and high temperatures.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Properly setting up and taking down cook station.
• Cooking raw and prepared foods.
• Labeling, dating, and filling pans.
• Cleaning, organizing, maintaining refrigerators, hot boxes and grills.
• Taking inventory and stocking/restocking items.
• Communicating with fellow staff to ensure fresh quality products.
• Adjusting to high-pressure situations.
• Understanding and complying with food safety and temperature standards.
• Maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.
