Job summary

Cabo Bob’s in Houston seeks a Line Cook to handle prep and cooking, ensuring meals are prepared to spec, plated beautifully, and served hot. You will keep stations clean, label and stock pans, and communicate with teammates to maintain quality and efficiency.

Ideal candidates demonstrate energy for a busy kitchen, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to food safety. Flexible scheduling and opportunities for advancement are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handler certificates
• Ability to carry at least 50 lbs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments
• Able to multitask and organize
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to reach, bend, squat, and lift while on the shift
• Ability to withstand frequent exposure to smoke, steam, grease, and high temperatures
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment

Responsibilities

• Setting up and taking down cook station
• Cooking raw and prepared foods
• Labeling, dating, and filling pans
• Cleaning, organizing, and maintaining refrigerators and hot boxes and grills
• Taking inventory and stocking items
• Communicating with staff to ensure quality products
• Adjusting to high-pressure situations
