Job summary

The Goddard School is seeking a cook to prepare fresh fruit, vegetables, and other products for multiple classrooms. You will serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and write monthly lunch and snack menus to support our preschool community.

Responsibilities include cleaning, inventory budgeting, and organizing the kitchen and pantry. This role offers weekday hours with weekends off and opportunities for paid trainings and staff recognition.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for 150 children plus is a must.

Responsibilities

• Preparing fresh fruit, vegetables, and other products.
• Serving breakfast, cooking and serving lunch for all classrooms; serving a morning and afternoon snack.
• Writing and preparing monthly lunch and snack menus.
• Cleaning and washing prep table, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning and organizing the prep fridge and pantry.
• Rinsing kitchen equipment and cutting boards.
• Maintaining overall cleanliness of the kitchen and pantry.
• Budgeting, managing, and ordering inventory.
• Assisting in other areas as needed assigned by management.

Compensation

New Cooks generally earn between $15 and $17 an hour depending on professional experience.
