Job summary

Hiawatha Care Center is actively hiring a Cook to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents. The Cook will work with the dietary team to provide a safe and enjoyable dining experience, following approved menus and therapeutic diet requirements.

This full-time position offers a $20 per hour wage, opportunities to advance with a strong team, and benefits including health, dental, vision and life insurance, a 401(k) with company match, PTO and EAP.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to prepare meals in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and recipes
• Follow therapeutic diet requirements and physician orders
• Maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation standards
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
• Assist with inventory, food storage, and kitchen cleanliness
• Work collaboratively with the dietary team to ensure excellent meal service

What We Offer

As a Cook, you will work closely with the dietary team to provide a safe and enjoyable dining experience.

Compensation:

$20 per hour

Schedule and Employment Type

• Full-Time Days (5:30AM - 1:45PM) & (10:45AM - 7PM)
