Job summary

Hastings Senior Health & Living is seeking a Full-Time Cook to join our award-winning team in Hastings, MN. You will work in a commercial kitchen preparing meals that meet residents’ dietary needs, including diabetic, low-sodium, and pureed options, while following recipes and safety standards.

This evening shift (11:30 AM – 8:00 PM) offers competitive hourly wages of $20.68 to $26.97, with experience-based raises and a range of Cassia benefits to support employees and their families.

Qualifications

• 1+ year commercial cooking/food preparation experience required.
• Must be able to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
• Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
• Observe and report on resident change of condition or changes in ability.
• Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.
• Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

As a Cook at Hastings Senior Health & Livingyou will be working in a commercial kitchen to make specialized meals for our residents. This can include working with dietary needs that require diabetic, low-sodium and pureed meals along with batch cooking. You will ensure that all food preparation and cooking activities comply with health, cleanliness, and safety regulations.

Position Type:

Full-Time position working a varied rotating schedule which includes every other weekend and every other holiday.

Shifts Available:

Evening11:30 AM - 8:00 PM

Wage Range:

$20.68 – $26.97 per hour depending on experience

Location:

930 West 16th Street, Hastings, MN 55033

We are located near the cities of Cottage Grove, Inver Grove Heights, South St. Paul, Rosemount, Woodbury and Prescott, Wisconsin.

Cook Responsibilities:
