Job summary

Valley View Village, a Cassia community, is seeking a compassionate Cook to join our culinary team on a full‑time basis with a varied schedule.

You'll lead a team to deliver nutritious meals for residents, follow recipes, support dietary needs, maintain a clean kitchen, and enjoy training while earning competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior cooking experience preferred but training provided.
• Must be able to read and speak English.
• Basic math skills and ability to follow recipes.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Cook Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to residents by leading and motivating team members to provide fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
• Prepare and assist cookingmeals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards. This will also include feature/specials and grill service.
• Work within the department to provide quality and nutritious meals and service to residents.
• Help maintain a clean and sanitary culinary department.
• Wash dishes and clean the kitchen and dining rooms.
• Assist residents, employees, and guests with a broad range of dietary needs.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Cook Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Prior cooking experience in institutional and/or quantity cooking equivalentpreferred but not required. We’ll train you for this position!
• Ability to speak and read English.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with others.
