Stoney Point Meadows, a Cassia community in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a Cook to join our caring team. You’ll prepare nutritious meals, lead kitchen tasks, and serve residents with a focus on quality. No late nights, weekend shifts, and opportunities to grow in a healthcare setting.

You will work a full-time varied schedule (11:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 AM–2:00 PM) and start at $19/hour. Cassia offers competitive pay, benefits, and career development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of commercial cooking experience required.
• Foodsafe certification is a plus.
• Ability to speak and read English.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with others.
• Must be reliable and self-motivated.
• Background check will be required.
• Will need to wear a uniform.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to residents by leading and motivating team members to provide fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
• Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Perform short-order & batch cooking.
• Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
• Wash dishes and clean kitchen.
• Review planned meals and take note of special diet requests.
• Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
• Follow and understand diet restrictions and modifications.
• Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Cook Responsibilities
