Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Hampton seeks a dedicated Cook/Dietary Aide to contribute to our friendly, caring kitchen team. You will prepare meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and follow recipes for large-scale service, while maintaining food safety and quality throughout the day.

As part of a supportive environment, you’ll record temperatures, work with a skilled culinary team, and help ensure residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience in a respectful, inclusive setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education.
• Prior skilled nursing foodservice experience preferred.
• Willingness to be trained and grow within the role.

As a Cook you will provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Rehabilitation Center of Hampton by preparing and ensuring residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and following recipes for preparing large volumes of food. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
