Job summary

The Arbor Company is seeking a dedicated Cook for a senior living community in Greenville, SC. This full-time role offers a rotation of 6a-2p and 11a-7p, with every other weekend required, and the chance to contribute to a caring dining program.

You’ll prepare meals from established recipes, maintain a clean safe kitchen, and support dietary needs. Experience in high-volume settings is preferred; ServSafe is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in cooking for restaurant, healthcare, or high-volume settings.
• Knowledge of food safety and portion control.
• Ability to adapt recipes for dietary needs and large groups.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals using established recipes and menu cycles.
• Follow dietary guidelines and modifications.
• Assist with deliveries, inventory rotation, and logs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and cook meals using established recipes and menu cycles
• Follow dietary guidelines and special meal modifications
• Support kitchen operations including deliveries, inventory rotation, and logs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen
• Collaborate with the Dining Director to ensure smooth service

What We’re Looking For

• Experience cooking in a restaurant, healthcare, or high-volume setting preferred
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and portion control
• Experience with special diets or senior living a plus
• Ability to cook for large groups (100+ preferred)
• A positive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for serving others
• ServSafe Certification is a plus
