Job summary

The Arbor Company is hiring for a Full-Time Cook on a compressed 3-day per week schedule. The shifts run Sundays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with four days off weekly. You’ll prepare meals, manage stock, and ensure safety and sanitation in a supportive dining team environment.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or training, or proven cooking experience in a restaurant setting.
• Knowledge of kitchen basics, sanitation, food handling, and portion control.
• Experience with special diets and long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals using established recipes and menus.
• Assist with stock deliveries, inventory rotation, and regulatory log requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Communicate with the Dining Director on prep, production and flow of service.

• Culinary degree or training, or experience cooking in a restaurant environment preferred
• Knowledge of kitchen basics, sanitation, food handling, portion control, and cooking procedures.
• Previous experience with special diets and long-term care is preferred.
• Previous experience with large batch cooking (100 people) at plus.
• Ability to maintain positive resident relations through a courteous, cooperative and understanding manner.
