Job summary

The Arbor Company is seeking a Cook to join our dining team in a role that directly impacts resident satisfaction through quality meals and service. You will prepare meals, manage stock, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or training is preferred or required.
• Knowledge of kitchen basics, sanitation, food handling, portion control, and cooking procedures.
• Experience with special diets and long-term care is preferred.
• Experience with large batch cooking (100 people) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide food service and prepare meals using established recipes and menu cycles.
• Assist with stock deliveries, product rotation, and regulatory log requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards by following schedules and protocols.
• Communicate with the Dining Director about prep, production, and service flow.

• Knowledge of kitchen basics, sanitation, food handling, portion control, and cooking procedures.
• Previous experience with special diets and long-term care is preferred.
• Previous experience with large batch cooking (100 people) at plus.
• Ability to maintain positive resident relations through a courteous, cooperative and understanding manner.
