  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
  • Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to supervisors
  • Follow special dietary restrictions and modifications as directed by dietary staff
  • Properly store food items and manage leftovers according to safety protocols
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Collaborate with dietary and nursing staff to meet resident needs


Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous culinary or food service experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
