Job summary

Quest Food Management Services is seeking an entry-level Cook I to prepare and present menu items on the hot line in our Elgin, IL facility. The role supports cold prep, salad and grab-&-go production, following a set preparation list and recipes while ensuring food safety standards.

You will assist in bulk and catering prep, receive deliveries, and help maintain a clean, professional kitchen line for customers throughout service.

• Prepares and presents menu items during service to Quest standards.
• Follow preparation lists for items needed to execute menus.
• Assist in day-to-day kitchen operations including bulk prep, catering prep, receiving and cleaning.
• Assist customers and maintain a clean, professional line.
• Cook I will assist in cold prep, salads, and grab-&-go production with recipes.
• Serve food on the hot line and maintain HACCP and food safety guidelines.
• Receive and store all kitchen deliveries.

Job description

Position Summary

Prepares and presents menu items during service of the cafeteria to Quest standards. Follows preparation list for items needed for execution of menus and assist in the day to day operations of the kitchen. Duties may include bulk preparation, catering prep, product receiving and cleaning. Assists customers and maintains line in a consistent and professional manner. Cook I will assist in cold prep, salad and grab & go production with recipes. Expected to serve food on the hot line. Follow all HACCP and food safety guidelines. Receives and puts away all kitchen deliveries.
