Pay for this position is $18.07/hour. This is an hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Prepares and presents high-quality food within specified timeframes for patient and retail services. Properly follows safe food handling procedures. Takes customer orders and prepares the order according to recipe, considering additional customer specifications or dietary needs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6 months healthcare or restaurant facility experience.

Licensure/Certification:

• Illinois Food Safety Sanitation Certification (or within 1 year of hire). Exempt if hired before 9/1/2020 at Saint Francis Medical Center (Peoria, IL).
• FSSC-Food Service and Sanitation Certification.

Other licenses/certifications:

• Heart of Mary Medical Center (HMMC) & Motherhouse - Cooks must have Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire. FSSMC or CFPM certifications are not required at these locations.

Other skills/knowledge:

• Basic math skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to schedule and environment changes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED; Culinary Degree.

• 2 years of experience as a cook in a healthcare facility.
