Job summary

Confidence Management Solutions in Norristown, PA is seeking a part-time Cook to join our Food & Nutrition team. You will work Day and Evening shifts with alternating weekends and holidays, and on-the-job training is provided.

The role requires preparing meals from standardized recipes, ensuring correct portions and temperatures, and maintaining quality. You may also assist with serving, cleanup, and kitchen coverage in the director's absence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year nursing home, senior living, hospital, or healthcare cooking experience.
• ServSafe certification preferred or will be obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to standardized recipes for residents.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery with correct portions and temperatures; ensure quality.
• Clean and maintain kitchen sanitation; proper storage of food.
• Manage kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Cook Shifts: Day and Evening Shifts, Alternating Weekends, Holidays.

We provide on-the-job training! Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is currently recruiting experienced Cook for specialty medical center in Norristown, PA. Valley Forge Medical Center 1033 W. Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA.

Cook Key Duties

• Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintain standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food- handling procedures.
• Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.

Cook Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.
• 1 year Nursing Home, Senior Living, Hospital, or Healthcare Required!
• Minimum one (1) year experienced in large-scale cooking.
