Job summary

University Retirement Community in Davis is seeking experienced Cook Leads to join our culinary team to staff our fine-dining restaurant, upscale casual Bistro, catering services, and other areas of our culinary program. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years’ experience as a line cook or in a lead position or higher.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of line cook or lead-level experience.
• Food Handlers card is required; ServSafe Manager certificate is a plus.
• Experience in upscale dining or fine dining is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lead kitchen stations for fine dining, upscale Bistro, and catering.
• Supervise cooks and kitchen staff to ensure quality and consistency.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards are met at all times.

The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years’ experience as a line cook or experience in a lead position or higher. Open availability is preferred, weekends/weekdays.
