Job summary

Sycamore Dining, LLC in Columbus's historic German Village seeks a friendly Cook to join our all-day café and restaurant. You will prepare and cook food items, follow recipes, and maintain safety and sanitation standards in a casual, yet elegant environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 2–3 years of kitchen experience, and strong communication. Culinary Arts and Serve Safe certificates are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
• Culinary Arts Certificate preferred.
• Serve Safe Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food items by chopping, cutting, and mixing.
• Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sauteing, along with other cooking methods to follow to specific recipes and standards.
• Adhering to proper food handling and kitchen equipment usage protocols.
• Monitor food product and labeling. Rotating product to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ability to multitask in a high volume environment.
• Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by adhering to all safety and sanitation procedures as well as restaurant protocols.
