Job summary

Ontario Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Canandaigua, NY is seeking a Part Time Cook to prepare, cook and serve a variety of foods in a long-term care setting.

The role requires SERV Safe/Sodexo certification, at least 1 year in large-scale cooking, and strong teamwork and communication skills. The incumbent may manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director and will contribute to a patient-focused dining program.

Qualifications

• Certification in healthcare cooking (SERV Safe or Sodexo) required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in large-scale cooking.
• Strong knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food preparation.
• Must be able to do some physical work.
• Should be a strong team player.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Will manage Kitchen in absence of Food Service Director.
