Job summary

Clarendale Six Corners is seeking a skilled culinary team member to cook from scratch in a high-volume setting. You will elevate classic dishes, ensure quality, and maintain strict cleanliness standards while supporting residents and guests with a positive dining experience.

Part-time schedule with shifts 11:30am-8:00pm and 7:00am-3:30pm, starting pay at $22/hour. Benefits include 401k with match, health, dental, vision and life insurance, PTO, and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; culinary degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years restaurant/senior living or equivalent cooking experience.
• Availability for part-time shifts listed.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization at all times.
• Adhere to food quality, appearance and presentation standards.
• Prepare and serve menu cycles compliant with nutritional criteria.
• Demonstrate speed, accuracy and efficiency in cooking.
• Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production.
• Assist with serving and ware washing as necessary.
• Visit residents to evaluate and adjust food service as needed.
• Represent the community in a warm, inviting manner to guests and residents.
• Support revenue and occupancy through positive guest experience.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Cook:

• Produce and serve menu cycle programs that are compliant with required Nutritional/Dietary criteria as required by local regulations and correctly prepare diets provided per Policy and Procedure.
• Exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production.
• Assist with serving of meals and ware washing as necessary.
• Visit residents periodically to evaluate food service such as quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance; and conduct evaluations to make revisions in operations / procedures to promote improved food service.
• Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner, which creates a positive marketing environment.
• Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.
