Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

Pay Frequency: Weekly - Direct Deposit

Job Summary

The Cook reports to the Chef or Chef Manager and is responsible for preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and catered events. Responsibilities include operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, dishwashers, slicers, coffee machines, steamers, mixers, and knives. The Cook must demonstrate excellent customer service, representing both the client and NEXDINE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain cleanliness of food prep areas and equipment to ensure safety and sanitation.
  • Cook food to proper temperatures, monitor quality, and ensure freshness by checking ingredients and rotating stock.
  • Prepare ingredients and dishes according to recipes and guidelines, including baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, and seasoning.
  • Handle food safely, including washing, peeling, cutting, and carving meats and seafood.
  • Assist with inventory and record-keeping of food usage.
  • Serve food promptly and provide excellent customer service.
  • Follow safety, sanitation, and uniform standards, and communicate supply needs to supervisors.
  • Operate in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, fire, and noise.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 40 pounds. Manual dexterity, auditory, and visual skills are essential, along with the ability to follow instructions.
