Job summary

Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is seeking a Cook/Prep Cook for full-time roles in Chambersburg, PA. The position requires cooking in large quantities for a care facility, following strict food safety procedures, and working 5am–1pm or 12pm–8pm shifts, every other weekend.

Experience in hospital or nursing facility food service is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required, with background check and drug screen post-offer. The facility offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• One year food experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related medical facility preferred.
• Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Must be knowledgeable of food procedures.
• A minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma is required.
• Post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals in large quantities for residents in a care facility.
• Adhere to food safety procedures and dietary restrictions as required.
• Support a team‑oriented kitchen with orientation and ongoing management support.
• Possess ability to work the 5am–1pm or 12pm–8pm shifts, including every other weekend.
