Responsible for the preparation of fresh and flavorful foods for patients, families, employees, volunteers and physicians in an attractive and sanitary manner. Properly cleans and sanitizes work area. Maintains a safe work environment and adheres to department as well as regulatory guidelines.**Job Description****Job Duties/Essential Functions** **Job Duties**● Prepare food for patients, staff, and special functions.● Work with CBORD program in order to follow recipes to ensure consistent products.● Maintain clean and organized work areas.● Make food in a manner consistent with proper food handling procedures.● Communicate effectively with co-workers as well as managerial staff.Follows Mercy's safety guidelines, carries out job-specific safety duties and responsibilities, and promptly reports any unsafe conditions, situations, incidents and injuries. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**● Capable of independent decision making.
