Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a part-time cook to prepare fresh, flavorful foods for patients, families and staff. Shift is 4:30pm–9:30pm with every other weekend, and duties include following CBORD recipes and maintaining sanitary work areas.

The role requires ability to work independently, attention to safety, and foundational culinary skills. Mercy values diverse applicants and offers a supportive team environment within the Nutrition Services department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Associates in Culinary Arts preferred.
• Servsafe certification preferred.
• Experience in institutional cooking preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare food for patients, staff and functions.
• Follow recipes using the CBORD system for consistency.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas.
