Job summary

Mercy Cedar Rapids is seeking a kitchen helper to support patient and staff meals by cleaning, stocking, and sanitizing the kitchen and café areas. The role operates on a day/evening shift with 40 hours per week and includes routine tasks to maintain a clean, safe food service environment.

Responsibilities include receiving stock, washing pots and pans, following safety guidelines, and keeping work areas tidy according to Mercy procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write.
• Three months or more of relevant experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Follows Mercy's safety guidelines, carries out job-specific safety duties and responsibilities, and promptly reports any unsafe conditions, situations, incidents and injuries.

Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing areas of the kitchen and café, washing and sanitizing pots and pans as well as receiving and putting stock away in a safe and orderly manner.
