Job Description: Wingstop Cook

Wingstop's mission is to serve the world flavor. We are looking for team members who want to deliver a flavor experience.

A Wingstop cook is responsible for preparing quality food that tastes great and is consistent daily. This role ensures compliance with company standards in all operational areas, including product preparation, maintaining high-quality products and services, and following proper personal hygiene and sanitation procedures. The cook must focus on their tasks calmly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure each guest has a positive, lasting impression of Wingstop.
  • Practice safe cooking procedures.
  • Scan and understand order tickets quickly.
  • Accurately count Bone-In Wings, Boneless Wings, and Boneless Strips needed for each order.
  • Coordinate cooking times for different wing types and fries, using the proper timers.
  • Follow Wingstop standards to sauce, season, and package orders.
  • Count cooked wings and strips accurately.
  • Properly sauce and package all orders.
  • Cook and prepare wings, strips, and fries in designated fryers and baskets.
  • Filter and replace fryer shortening daily, following safety procedures and using proper safety equipment.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness throughout the shift and at closing time.
  • Immediately report safety, sanitation, or employee issues to the Manager on Duty.
  • Assist other employees as needed and follow supervisor instructions.
  • Understand and follow hygiene and food safety protocols, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals.
