Oak Park Place is hiring a Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, following dietary requirements and safety standards. This full-time role supports a senior community, ensuring portion control and high-quality food service.

Responsibilities include cooking per menus, maintaining clean work areas, and verifying meal quality. Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED and at least one year in kitchen work; senior-care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of kitchen or food preparation experience.
• Experience working with seniors is preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation rules required.
• Able to understand recipes and calculate measurements.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn use of commercial kitchen equipment.

• Cook food according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, and number of portions to be served
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware
• Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity

Requirements
