Oak Park Place is seeking a Traveling Chef to support kitchens across its communities. The role involves preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents while following dietary requirements and safety standards.

You will travel between Oak Park Place locations, ensuring consistency in quality and portion control. Strong kitchen experience and knowledge of sanitation are required, with a commitment to serving seniors and maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years of kitchen or food preparation.
• Experience working with seniors preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation rules.
• Ability to understand recipes and calculate measurements.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Understanding or ability to learn the use of commercial kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Portion and serve food to facility residents
• Cook food according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, and number of portions to be served
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware
• Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity

The Traveling Chef responsibilities includes preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents while adhering to dietary requirements and food safety regulations.

• Cook food according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, and number of portions to be served


• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware
