Job summary

Park View Care Center, a Cassia community, is seeking a versatile Cook to prepare meals for residents, lead a small kitchen team, and ensure menu adherence. This part‑time or full‑time role offers weekend scheduling and a wage range with bonuses, located at 200 Park Ln, Buffalo, MN 55313.

The cook will follow recipes, maintain safety standards, accommodate special diets, and participate in required trainings. Background checks are required for selected applicants.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of commercial cooking experience required.
  • Strong communication and hospitality skills to interact with residents and staff.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Team player willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Selected candidates will be required to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to residents by leading and motivating team members to provide fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
  • Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards. This will also include feature/specials and grill service.
  • Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Review planned meals and take note of special diet requests.
  • Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
  • Follow and understand diet restrictions and modifications.
  • Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.

This is a great opportunity for cooks looking for stable, year-round employment, including those coming from seasonal roles in schools, golf clubs, catering, banquet facilities, or other hospitality settings.

As a Cook at Park View Care Center, you will prepare meals for our residents. If you have a passion for cooking and enjoy working in a team environment, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in our residents' lives.

Position Type: Part‑Time or Full‑Time, working a varying scheduling including every other weekend required

Shift Available:

  • Evenings 11:30 AM - 7:30 PM (Part‑Time 48 hours per pay‑period)
  • Evenings 11:30 AM - 7:30 PM (Full‑Time or Part‑Time every other weekend)

Wage Range: $19.22 - $22.82 /hour depending on experience

Bonus:

  • Part‑Time: $500
  • Full‑Time: $1,000
